19th century (1880’s) “roundabout” or corner chair. Mahogany (walnut?), elaborately carved face & raised leaves centerpiece. Twin dragon head back panels. Ornately carved armrests and legs. Elegant. Historical arguments as to design reason: gentleman’s desk chair, military swordsmen’s comfort, or simply to occupy an unused corner. Whatever the intended purpose – a lovely piece. $1,200 OBO
