MARDI GRAS BARKUS PARADE — Instead of parade featuring pirates tossing beads, you’ll be entertained by our favorite four-legged friends decked out in eye patches, beads and more. Led by the Mystic Krewe of Salty Barkers, the theme for the 8th annual extravaganza is BourBone Street Blues. All are invited to be a part of the festivities by outfitting you and your dog. And because it’s Florida, decked out bicycles and golf carts also welcome in the parade. As per tradition, the parade’s queen and king will feature two shelter dogs looking for their “furever” home. Includes live music, artisans and food.
When: Feb. 10
Where: Apalachicola
